Default LCD monitor on a DOS pc?

Does anyone use an LCD monitor on a DOS? I have a customer who plugged a 19" LCD (from an XP computer) into their old DOS computer & it worked! However the text when running Word Perfect *cough* was very big. They asked me if a 17" LCD would be better, but I'm not sure as a 17" has the same resolution. Would a 15" be better?

OMG Dos!!

Yeah, a 15" panel will look better as Dos did not have many display modes and even then you don't really get a resolution choice.. The panel will just stretch whatever to fit the screen..

What happened to the XP box?

Default

you could try adding this to the autoexec.bat file or the config.sys file (cant remember which it goes in )

MODE CON: COLS=80 LINES=50

this should double the standard dos resolution resulting in fonts half the size.
