Default CD Disks

Help - i've just connected my new PC (after it's been in loft for 5 months), it's got a (according to hardware profiles) Lite-on ltr 481265 CD-RW drive, when i looked for disks to copy onto (instead of floppys) i didn't know which to get as there are so many different types, CD-R, CD+R, CDRR, etc

Will any of these work or are there specific types i should get?

cheers

80min 52x CD-R for use once burning (albums etc) circa 10p per disc
CD-RW (typically 12x or 24x) for repeated use (data backup, again & again) circa 30p per disc

So the only difference between the discs is CDRs can only be recordered onto once and the CDRW can be re-recordered onto?

Thanks for the help
