Default Can you reinstall / repair DirectX?

Running Legit (Yes Jack, legit ) XP pro SP 2 + patches.

I've tried running the 9c installer again - but it does not apply.

Any way to fix directx?

I'm suffering from the common "BF2 crash to desktop" problem which indicates a DX problem.

For some reason I'm missing the DX util DXXPUNP.EXE
& a few other DLL's.

Any help would be appreciated.

not sure on uninstalling directx but in c:\windows\system32 theres a prog called dxdiag.exe look at that & see what errors are there. You can always download the .dlls it needs (if theres not too many that is...)
