BBC radio without Real Media?
Hi
I'd like to listen to BBC radio stations online, but the BBC website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/) will only play most of the stations using Real media. I don't want to install Real media on my PC, but am happy to use WMP if necessary. Is there some other way I can listen to BBC radio via the Internet?

Sorry? The BBC cannot afford something? Oh, poor hard done by Beeb! If they were slightly intelligent they'd offer it in a format that iTunes' Radio could accept.

Can't stand realmedia or quicktime either though
At least there are people who think along the same lines and produce standalone codecs that allow you to access the media without having numerous players

I don't actually know what format the iTunes radio stations are in, could be a proprietry format, but then again not, so some other player would play it.
QT would be fine for me, being a mac junkie, but anything other than RM would be fantastic.

I bet you can't use the realtime alternative on a mac either can you
Realmedia....great idea.....but their player sucks and is a nightmare to get rid of once it's infiltrated your machine...a bit like quicktime (on a PC that is)
