Just about to buy my first ever laptop or Notebook.

Im wanting to go for the a Dell as I know they give good service and the stuff is good quality.

I want to spend up to £700ish.
I want 15" or 17" screen
Decent memory and as fast as possible processor speed.
Must play DVD's and CD's and have decent grafix too.
Not fussed about it playing games but I want to be able to use it anywhere for the internet. ie airports, in the house,anywhere in the world tbh.

I dont know much about them so I wanted some feed back on the best options please.

..and whats a cache??

you had a look on dell.com? you cant buy them in the shops you know!!

cache is just memory that is set aside as a specialised buffer storage that's continually updated.

i have supplied a few of these without issues. (cheap and good build)

xp pro is a must.
