Sticky, I think that peeps who were already on a package with them had an automatic upgrade from the standard 512 download speed to 2 Mb.
(he upload rate hasnt changed)
Not 100% sure, but i think thats what happened.
They now seem to segregate the basic broadband product by offering a larger ammount of usage and a few gimmicks like wireless router etc.

I'm on the top package with BT - it was originally 1mb but they upgraded (for free) to the 2mb and whereas before you could buy 512 on the cheapest rate it is now just all 2mb but as mentioned by FT it's based on download limits.

yea i have picked them for my new apartments home service purely because i am sick of faffing about sniffing around other service providers for deals

my dad has used them in his home with a 3/4 pc network and it has been rock solid, i can not remember a time when the connection dropped out or anything

they do not seam the cheapest, but i would rather pay a bit more and get a proper service

it has taken me 30 mins to get the office tiscali broadband setup to connect today
after messing about trying my best, i rang there help desk where sum foriegn bint told me to check if it was plugged in
after they told me to hold while they did a bt line check, it fixed itself so i hung up

can not wait to get out of this tiscali contract might get bt to sort the office broadband as well......

I've had the BT BB connection for about a year and a half now and never had a single problem

As you say, they ain't the cheapest but it's been solid so far.

EDITED TO ADD: I don't pay for it but my employer does
