Have you used it before?

Photoshop CS2 is the professional software suite
Photoshop Elements 3 is the idiot-proof software

Depends if you're up for a challenge or not....

this really should be in the computer related section...but anyways, what sort of image work will you be doing. If you are only going to be doing light image work for croping images from digital camera etc, then adobe elements will be just fine and costs around 50 quid?. If on the other hand you are more wanting to get into image manipulation (sp?) and more more time consuming techniques etc...then adobe photoshop CS2 is the latest. Will need a good spec PC or Mac. Well at least lots of RAM. oh yea this costs 500 ish of your hard earned.

i think thats about it.
I have been using PS for the past 5/6 years and i am still learning the software.i also have two book on photoshop which i have yet to use

Consider "gimp" it's free and does many of the simpler functions.

Fair do's mate.
Elements is a great place to start, or even try and get a old photoshop like 5, 6 or even 7.

Stick with elements version 2 , its faster , and has more power. I have noticed that the later the version of elements the more they have cut down the features on ...
