Linksys VPN Router - BEFVP41
Anyone got any experience of these?
Looking to use two of them to make a homogeneous network from two differently located LANs each with ADSL connections. I have control over both LANs and there will only be static IP addresses on both
The ADSL links may or may not have static IP addresses - would they still work if one (or both?) had dynamic IP address?
My understanding (and need) is that I can set the two routers up with the same keys and they effectively become invisible and it's as if I had one big LAN.
What overhead does an IPSec tunnel have in terms of reducing effective bandwidth? - I think that the 256Kb/s uplink side of the ADSL connections is as slow as I can stand, without having it dragged down by IPSec overheads
Any thoughts please?
