Default Why does LAN crash when coming out of Standby?

Due to a dodgy PSU it is hassle to boot from a cold pc so have been putting the system into standby instead, however on wake up the LAN connection although "connected" has "limited or no connectivity" ???
I have to disable and re-enable for it to work..
Any work arounds ?

Not exactly the answer to why the LAN fails to work after wake up though !

The PSU is an old one I've put back in temporarily while my 620W Enermax is sent back for repair / renewal.
I didn't mean the post to come across in a way that made it look like I was too lazy to change it.
