Internet Connection Sharing
Ive got 2 pc's set up but i want them both to access my internet account via IE though my cable modem. So far ive installed a second network card in the host pc and linked the two via a cross over cable and ran the network setup wizard on both pc's.Now the guest pc is seeing my pc fine and i have the internet gateway enabled connection on the guest pc but i still cant access the net i can ping the guest pc and vice versa so the LAN is ok any idiot proof ideas?

Well one solution is to use PC1 to connect to the internet and shares it with PC2. Like this PC1 always has to be on for PC2 to have internet.
Assuming you are using winxp on PC1 to do this, on PC1 you share your internet connection (right-click and properties). It will then automatically create an IP address for you, which is 192.168.0.2.
Now on PC2 set the IP to 192.168.0.2, and the default gateway and preferred dns to 192.168.0.1 (that of PC1)
