something seems to be blocking my FTP traffic? I am trying to upload and download from my FTP space but its as if its not there?

I have tried 5 FTP programs, but nothing I have uninstalled my Antivirus and Firewalls but it didnt make any diferance.

Can anyone point me to some help?

have a look under your netstat connections, time wait.. syn timeout would indicate that your machine never received it's ask.

Try Passive Mode. Should be in the options somewhere, it is much more router friendly I believe.

I have no router, just a USB ADSL modem , why would it stop working all of a sudden?

Without sounding rude, speak to your ISP They are the ones that are paid to help you

It could be anything, your account might not be FTP enabled, there maybe a special username and password, maybe there are only a number of IP address that can FTP to their servers at once.

Have you tried accessing any other ftp sites? if not then try it. If you can access those and it's only your site, as mentioned by Darren, contact your ISP

sorry, should of said that everything was working up until about 5 days ago, tried 3 of my FTP sites as well as the froogle ftp.....nothing!
