Default Mac question

How do you share a volume or drive on a Mac so that Windows PCs can connect to it.

I know about the Windows Sharing etc under Sharing in the System Preferences but I would like to attach a firewire drive and share that out.

Do I have to set up Samba, SWAT etc or is there an easier way?

O/S is Tiger, 10.4.3

works the same way - enable sharing on your attached Firewire drive (name it)

It appears in the "Connect to server" in Tiger (or it does in mine!!! )

Found the answer.

You have to add a section to /etc/smb.conf for the volume or drive you want to share.
