Hi all

Got xp installing on daughters pc at the moment.

A while ago i ran cable around the house from my pc to hers but never put the plugs on and cannot remember how to do it

I have the correct crimper tool but cant remember where each wire goes cause ive lost the book that tells you

can anybody help please

If the cable is going direct from PC -> PC without a hub or switch (i.e. plugged into the NIC at both ends) then you'll need to wire the cable as a cross-over.

So one end is straight-through, the other is cross-over.

My daughter is happy now

Both pc's go ito a thompson speedtouch modem router and can have upto 4 alltogether.
