Is the PS2 the best option?......

It's been a while since I stopped gaming (my last console was a megadrive!!)....what should I eb looking for?

PS2 is the easily the best, has the largest games selection full stop.

Xbox Live is good but what will happen to that after November when most people flock to the Xbox 360, it'll become pretty quiet.

I'd say go for the xbox. PS2 has more games, but they are all clones of each other, and recently I've found it very hard to find anything worth buying for it. I use the xbox 10 times more than I do the PS2...

ps2 some versions are better than others- avoid silver ones all IMO

WITH THE LAUNCH OF XBOX 360 JUST AROUND THE CORNER...prices of xbox will plumbet and you will find alot of peeps with modded xboxs and 300 games plus will be getting rid to make room for the xbox360.

Only ever play GT4 on the PS2 these days, every xbox game is superior in my opinion and is by far my console of choice (especially being able to play games off the hard drive, and for backing up PC!!)
