XP ghost imaging

XP ghost imaging
Hi chaps, question for those in the know.
Will most likely be rolling out a load of new laptops in couple of months.
Am after any hints/tips of pitfalls in using ghost 2003 in making and deploying images to new devices.
Intend to just sysprep the finished image (for one hardware type) so it just boots and you input the puter name, and adds itself to domain.
Have done this on 2k no problem, just wondered if XP will kick up.
many thnx
Glenn

We have a ghost server for our DR site that was tested at the weekend. We tested 30 xp desktops in one go and it worked a treat. Our image isn't sysprep'd though and just rename each machine and add to the domain seperately.
Have ghosted sysprep xp images at my previous place though and had no issues on both laptop and desktop machines.

xp will be fine, depending on the ghost version, you dont need sysprep as ghostwalker will change the sid and the name, or you can use stuff like netdom to add to the domain.
if using sysprep be aware of unsigned drivers.
