MIMO Wireless and PCI Std Ver 2.2
I have several Compaq DeskPro EN Pentium III 1.0GHz PC's dotted around a housing estate where not all residents have BT landlines.
My plan is to install wireless ADSL routers in those who have BT lines and wireless cards in PC's that don't
I have looked at 802.11b, 802.11g, Super G and the best on offer for coverage (not too fussed about strength) seems to be the Pre-N or MIMO kit.
Unfortunately, they all seem to rabbit on about requiring the motherboards to be PCI standard ver 2.2? How do I find this out as Compaq are not forthcoming with support
I also suspect the PC's are only USB 1.0, not USB 2.0 so that is why I was going PCI rather than USB sticks....
Any thoughts/suggestion?
Cheers, Jonathan
