Default DNS Propagation problems. Please help

Hi peeps

I just moved my personal account and domain from one provider to another . I have updated my DNS settings etc to the correct settings, the day before yesterday and its still not working.

I updated it to the new server but the update tool at my registrar still points to the old settings, although samspade.org says its updated.

Is there anywhere I can check that it is propagating the right info around the dns servers etc. Samspade reports the new address but I dont know of any other tools/sites to check with.

Cheers

Stu

domain changes can take 48-72 hours to proporgate throughout the WWW

I wouldn't worry about it too much jusy give it time!

the tool you need it (XP, 2k?):

nslookup

from memory:

nslookup domain.co.uk - will look at the domain entry fromyour current DNS server
nslookup server.ip - specifies the DNS server to use

ipconfig /flushdns - clears your local machine's DNS history / cache (reboot on 9x boxes)

command line widget

NO They do not propogate throughout the "world wide web", they propogate to other DNS servers!
