Default Video Editing Software

Hello

Okay, I have managed to import a video from my camera and now I would like to edit it.

The software needs to be able to do the following:

1/ Compress the video (it's currently in "original" 178mb/minute(!) format)

2/ Split the video into portions and save each portion

3/ Add an image (.jpg) and a title at the front

I have Windows Movie Maker (which is too simple) and Adobe Premiere 1.5 which is WAY too hard for me. Can anyone recommend one?

Thanks!

Steve

Hello

That's not available, is it the same as Sony Vegas Video (which is extremely expensive!)?

Pinnacle Studio 9 is very good and extremely simple to import and use

I threw away my copy of Pinnacle studio 9. Just too full of bugs and I found it produced unstable / unpredictable results. I'm using premiere pro 1.5 now and it's sooo much better, and I actually find it much easier to use!!!

Ulead videostudio is supposed to be very good for the budget / entry level market, as is premiere elements. I think they're a similar price as well.
