Cool Help needed from aweb developer

I have written a website using html and php.

I have also used a css file to control the layout but and here is the problem.

when I look at it on mozilla firefox the formating is perfect and just as I want it.

But when I look on msie it ***** up and adds a bottom scroll bar to the page which makes all the centreing off.

There are 2 pics at the top of the page that are controlled by teh css file and they look ok but the rest of the page extends right off the screen.

WTF have I done wrong and how can I fix it.

http://www.custom-graphics.de/graphics/rugby

can someone take a look at it using msie and firefox please and make sense of what I am talking about.

Cheers

Steve

I would have had a look but the 'welcome' screen crashes my MSIE on my Mac which is a bit odd. Might be your javascript, might be my Mac...
Home page looks the same across all Mac browsers though.
Sorry cant be much more help.

Just looked at it using both msie 6 and firefoxn 1.0.6, (using my pc - XP Pro), and it looks absolutely fine in both. The only difference I can see is that the side menu when displayed in firefox is underlining the links in a rather messy way.

No crashes or dodgy javascript errors either. I can only guess that there is a bug in the mac version of msie...

I would lose the z-index in your css! It's not that well supported IMHO

Cheers Chaps

So Iain you are not getting a scroll bar at the bottom of the page on any page when using MSIE?

when I look at it on MSIE I get the first language page ok and the next page with the team pic on it ok and also the guestbook ok but all the other pages are to wide and I have to scroll right in order to view them totally which mens the graphic from the pub moves to the middle of the screen and all the centreing is off and the heading is appearing under the pub graphic rather than in teh middle between the mnu and the right edge.

I am soooooo confused why I can see it like this and nobody else can, I have tried it on 2 PCs so far and the other web master from the club has also commented that it looks **** in MSIE.

Cool

Ok resolved the problem now just need to tidy up the mess it has created.

The problem is that IE sees the table width of 100% and says OK I'll make the table width 100% of the window width, but because you are in a DIV which is offset from the left, the actual width is then the window width + the DIV left hand margin. IE then also decides to ignore the DIV right margin setting! Firefox consideres the table width to be 100% of the DIV width rather than the window width, so renders it correctly!
