Default ide to sata

Building a new PC and want to t/f the current XP install from an ide to a SATA drive

What is the best way to do this please ?

If you're using a different chipset motherboard you will probably have to do a re-install of Windows anyway.

No you won't, just load the .inf / drivers before upgrading

There will still be bits of the other chipset's drivers lurking in the Windows folder
