Question Question from HTML newbie -- good HTML editor program?

I'm new to writing & editing some HTML help files, and it's a real pain with the MS html Help Editor because it's all fiddly coding.

Are there any WYSIWYG freeware editors that I can use to make up html pages without all the coding?

Can I even do it in MS Word, for example, by saving the doc as a web page?

Any help gratefully received -- it would save me days of work

cheers, Craig

You could download the demo of Dreamweaver, I think you get 30 days use.

I would avoid Word or Frontpage but both will be fine for what you want to do.

Yes, Frontpage writes naughty code biased towards Micro$oft - avoid like RichB says!

Another vote for Dreamweaver, although it may seem a little complicated at first. You can actually do everything you need with a text editor like Windows Notepad!

Good site to help you start out...
