I've just bought a Samsung VPX110L Sports camera for use on my mountain bike.

The camera produces Mpeg4 .avi's in DivX form.

I'm trying to edit the clips I make into a watchable movie but hitting a brick wall most of the time. The solution I'm using just now is to import into windows movie maker and then save as a wmv or another Avi (DV format it says) then import into the program I'm used to using (Premier Elements)

If I try a straight import it say's un supported compression I thought the codecs on my PC would sort this out. If I change the file extension to .mpg is says unsuported audio

I don't think I'm losing quality with the windows method but it is long winded.

So I'm looking for a prog that will edit Divx in one step
