Its driving me nuts!!!
On various websites, i keep getting messages like the one below, instead of what i'd expect to see. Any ideas anyone? Happens in both IE6 and Firefox.
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0 Date: Thu, 01 Sep 2005 11:06:01 GMT Content-Length: 51260 Content-Type: text/html Set-Cookie: ASPSESSIONIDAACSTRCB=MJLBONMAOKJLJLNPHNKECGFI; path=/ Cache-control: private
Oh, and i keep having to refresh both browsers a lot to get correct loading of lots of sites as well

That happens when two response headers are sent by a webserver. The first one sets your browser up to display content, so whatever comes next will be displayed as content. It could be a dodgy proxy sitting in between, but it won't be anything to do with your web browser, dodgy coding is the culprit 99.99% of the time.

Hi Steve,
Dont think its coding as it happens on many major websites, bbc etc. And occasionally if i refresh, the page displays correctly.
Its got me stumped.

Sure but, could be a dodgy proxy (like your ISP's one, if they use one). The fact it's happening cross-browser tells me it's not the browsers, it's something else.

Well, i use F2S as my ISP. No proxy settings in IE or Firefox. And I've cleared cache, and guess what.
Its still f@*&ed!!!
If i use firefox and goto www.odeon.co.uk and click the "enter odeon.co.uk button, this is what I get, every time.
