Question

Looking for a free LAN messenger prog

I'm looking for a free program that I can use over LAN to message between the 3 PC's in the house. Rather than shouting up and down the 3 floors of my house.

I tried a couple of trial progs but need something that will continue to work after 30 days. My OS is XP Pro btw.

You could try a Jabber server there are Windows versions here, http://www.jabber.org/.

Have you tried "net send computer_name message" from the command prompt?
