Hello

PlusNet are having lots of issues at the moment. http://www.adslguide.org.uk and the ISP forum are a good place to read.

I always recommend Zen (http://www.zenadsl.co.uk).

Although it's supposedly unlimited, if you're mates going to download over 100Gb per month then Plusnet's not for him.

Allan
Connection fee £50

And you have to pay the annual fee upfront = £180

Total £230

Still good price if u dont mind shelling out for the year.

The overall cost is what matters, still a very good deal.

True. However Plusnet for £6.99 extra/mnth offer loads of webspace, static IP, usenet, unlimited email, no connection fee (if ure migrating) and no need to pay upfront. A better deal I reckon.

I think you get most of that with E7, I'll put my £83.88 per year that I'm saving towards Optimax

the 8 meg is only for met networks a la London at the moment, plus net does have loads of features as mentioned previously too which most ISP's either don't feature, or do at extra cost i know that webspace is extra cost on bulldog and No newsfeed either

U cant FTP to the webspace on BD either CS is as mentioned non existant. Only plus side to using BD is that they intend to rollout 8mb and ADSL2+ to all exchanges in the near future. Mindu all decent ISPs will be following suit pretty soon anyway.

No, you do have more. The question of course is, how much does HE need

Where can you see how good your ISP compared to others? Been to that ADSL.org site and it asked me about my ISP, but did not show me the results of othere

just a thought, but perhaps not everybody needs 250mb surely you go with the package that meets your needs at the lowest price.

Thanks for that link. Dunno what I thought that pag was for before, but I had got that far....doh!!

ICQ is pretty good for sharing vids n apps for several reasons
1) its free
2) it resumes broken/cancelled transfers from where you leave off
3) no limit on the size of the transfer

Oh, and can I have a link to your webspace to see what you have

Be careful with +net that you don't get stung £50+ for domain registration renewal. If as I did you register a domain and then move it to +net, they will charge an extortionate amount for domain renewal. One way to avoid it is to pay the £1 / mth domain hosting fee. Domain renewal is then "free". See http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showthre...s&Main=1953425 for one of the people complaining. After several emails I managed to get the £50 refunded and switched to the £1 / mth option.
