As the title, I have a 256mb mp3 player and can fit about 30+ songs. Just thought that with the quality of headphone [pop in the ear jobbies] it ain't worth using bitrates of 193kbs. If I reduce the bitrate I assume that the file size reduces, but I don't know how I can do this.

try Audacity, within the preferences section there is a quality tab :]

 

try using cdex to change them to another bitrate

 

Nero can do this also.
