Can someone just explain what modding your dvd player to be region free will enable it to do ?? does it enable all formatts off disc to be played ie. dvd+ dvd - mp3, etc, etc, etc ??

slightly confused ??!!!

Do you mean Multi-Region, sorry dont mean to nit pick your wording. It should be able to play mp3 anyway provided you follow the guidelines of the manual (files must be called *.mp3 etc and certain folder names). If you chip it to multi region it will play DVD's of any region. A region 0 DVD is region free (will play in any DVD player) for example a DVD someone has made could be region 0 as they dont need to worry about license laws etc
