Tiscali dial-up PAYG connection drop out
Folks,
I searched the forum for this and saw that one other person was saying that they were continually getting dropped out of the Tiscali PAYG dial up connection but it wasn't really relevant to that thread and not replied to.
Does anyone that uses the Tiscali PAYG suffer from this? I'm totally fed up being dropped out after being connected for less than a minute and then taking multiple attempts to reconnect.
It doesn't appear to be related to my line either as i have tried my laptop at my folks and it happens there too. And before anyone asks it doesn't appear to be related to the content that you are viewing at the time!
Can anyone recommend a solution or an alternative stable dial-up connection?
TIA
Paul

Have a PAYG dial-up that I used for years and never had a problem.
(and if you use 'jandkatie' in the referall box it'd be appeciated)
They also have the best broadband services available (possibily excluding Telewest blueyonder - cable only)

I set this up last night and put you in as a referrer. The good news is that i didn't once get dropped out.

I've been on plusnet for a long time from dial-up to their Broadband. I can't recommend them enough. Never had any major issues and any small things have been sorted out quickly.

make sure your modem speed settings are coerrect, ie set at no more than 56K, ontherwise it will drop out every chance it gets.
I have tiscali broadband, and am currently looking for a solution to the same prob. It seems that if i leave the internet unattended for more than a couple o mins, it drops my connection.....!!!so frustrating
