I have an icon on my bottom r next to the start box..

it has no regular icon associated with it, and on checking its propertiies, its alaunc icon for the web.. (ie) but i cant remove or delete it i get an X and the message cant read ferom the source file or disk..

happened after i did a sp1 update


can it be killed via tweakui or similar or is it a registry hack??


sok its gone ... but are microsoft up to there tricks again???

i have msn messanger set to hide in the menu options, but the little bu**er still pops up every time i boot up

If I understand you correctly, you get an error message when you attempty to delete the file in the usual manner yes?

If so, then have yo tried booting into safe mode and deleting it that way? (F8 at boot).

Having trouble deleting that last post but it looks like you've got it For future reference though, booting into Safe Mode is often a good way to delete stubborn files
