Question mp3 Files too big for cd....can they be split

Got a couple of mp3 files that are slightly too large for a cd. Have been trying to use Nero without success.

Can anyone help. I either want to miss the end off, like I say just too large. Or split them and put onto two cd's.

Can anyone help.

Cheers

is it just too big as nero advanced settings allow you to overburn by a couple of mins.

Yep its about 82 mins long, though I think that cd's have a little more capacity than advertised. Was thinking of the overburn but it kept coming up with warnings. This shouldn't be a bad problem should it...

nah m8 82 mins should be fine. ordinary cd player/mp3 player might not like it though. best way is to re encode the mp3 at a slightly lower bit rate to fit it all in 800 meg. you wont notice the loss in quality unless its encoded at something rediculously low like 32kbits. from 192 to 128 will not loose that much quality.

You can buy 90 min discs, or open Nero up go to configure, Expert features, then alter your time boxes, or you can change the gap between songs down to 1 second they are set at 2 seconds

MP3 Splitter & Joiner - I tend to use this when splitting various DJ sets; works a treat.
