System resources low - 3%

System resources low - 3%
Help - i must have viruses as my system is now running with just 3% resources - i can't use the virus scans as these use too much, i haven't installed anything lately, i'm not running any other programs at the same time, help........

alt + ctrl + del will spring up the windows task manager. Under the applications tab kill anything you know is not running, Then hit the processes tab. "end task" them one by one until you have enough resources free to run a virus scan + adware scan.

Safe mode
Or you could reboot into safe mode, most machines are F8 from bootup and then choose Windows safe mode.....wait till it starts then run your AV and spyware remover.....
