Dead Ipaq?
Just come bck from holiday and the ipaq now wont switch on or recharge
The screen is off and there are no flashing lights when I plug it in to recharge. Pressing the reset button makes no difference?
Anyone else had this problem? How can I get it back to life?

Surely the flashing lights should still work even if the battery wouldnt hold a charge, it doesn't even power on when its being charged from the mains which is a bit odd.

Is the mains charger getting warm, maybe thats broken as I have seen at work before.
or.
If the ipaq is getting very hot at the back then the battery has shorted internally and it wont charge or show lights. They normally get warm, but I mean very very hot.

Sorted!!!
When I went on holiday the battery (and back up NiMH) went completely flat and must have done a hard reset.
The result of this is that it reset ALL my preferences. Including the ability to recharge by usb. As I only appear to have a usb charge lead that would explain why it would not recharge or any of the flashing lights appear.
Used a friends mains power lead to squirt some juice into it and then enabled usb charging and its all up and running again.
MUST remember to back up the ipaq in future!!!
