Anyone got a Mac Mini?
After some recent PC troubles, and generally finding WinXP a pain, I have decided to go the way of the panther, gonna go for a MAC mini to start off with, it's the same as a G4 power book which several of my designer friends use to work from home, with a gig of Ram should be a half decent entry level machine.
Anyone got one of these, experiences of it etc?
Also know where to get cheap ram, curicial nearly expensive as Mac?

Got a load of G5 D/ps for work, and then needed to install some more Macs (without the G5 budget!!)
Went for the 1.25 with 512Meg Ram/80Gig & Airport.
I use them heavily for Hard-disk audio processing - even the more, let's say "hungry" programs run sweetly
I love em - so much so, that I'm also gonna get one for home

Wicked news..
Well I was about to get one from Apple today, I get educational discount as staff, but it's only 6%, I was just on ebay looking for second hand Ram and someone had a two month old one 1.4ghz, 512mb Ram with 80 gig hard-drive which was going cheap, had only a few minutes left. I made a bit of rash decision and put in a bid of £350, I got it for £311, which is not bad at all. I'll need to get the Airport card fitted in the shop, which I guess will be at least £50, but I would of had to pay that ontop of the £429 list price for the faster set up. Guy hasnt' got back to me yet though, but he is 'local' so gonna go around with cash make sure he isn't a blaggar!

Make sure you can proove the engineer fitting the card is fully Apple certified and up to date or the warrnty is immediately invalidated !
I think you'll love it, we sold stacks of them and they have been ultra reliable in fact possibly the most reliable machine I have ever seen Mac or PC.
Have fun with it !
