Holux Bluetooth & XP probs
I've got a Holux GR-230 bluetooth gps reciever. I've also got a laptop with USB bluetooth dongle and I'm trying to get the two to comunicate so that I can use it with autoroute etc.
I can get as far as XP (with SP2 on it) bonding with the GPS with no passkey BUT when I fire up anything that wants to access the GPS I get a info bubble on the PC saying the GPS is trying to connect and I have to click on the bubble to allow connection but then I get told to put a passkey in. I've tried leaving this blank and tried it with numbers but the result is the same as when I click <next> I get told..
The operation being requested was not performed because the user has not been authenticated.
Can anyone help? I'm sure it's meant to be easier than this?
Matt

Right, tried bonding first, using a passkey. Came up with
but when I go back and pick "no passkey" it then goes thru and says my bluetooth hardware is ready to use (and the light on the GPS reciever indicates it's bonded).
and yet when I go and use anything that uses the GPS I get the balloon at the bottom saying "a bluetooth device is trying to connect to this PC, click to allow connection" and then when I click it it's back to the "enter a passkey" screen (but this time with no option than to put a code in.
bloody thing
The device has indicated a passkey exchange failure.
You might have entered an incorrect passkey or the time to enter the passkey might have expired
