Question Playing DVD on the PC...

I bought a PC in NZ, and can watch NZ DVD no problem.
I want to buy a DVD from the UK, will it play on the PC ok ??

Q - How can I tell what geographical regions the s/ware can play ??

I beleive NZ = Region 4
and UK = Region 2

The s/w = InterActual Player Version: 2.04.08.0409
and came with the PC. "Help/About" does not reveal too much. D'oh.

Thx.

Both your software and and the hardware are likely to be region locked (with 3 or 4 region changes allowed). Try looking on www.digital-digest.com where youll be able to find small applications thatll allow you to play discs from any region without changing the region on your DVD-ROM (or player).
