Default Novatech - LCD screens - Any good ?

Howdy folks,

I am just toying with getting a small flat pannel for my chill room. It will mainly be for watching DVDs and playin games on the Xbox and PS2.

Does anyone have any experience of these 2 ?

27" £570 http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s...html?NOV-LCD27
30" £680 http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s...html?NOV-LCD30

I knows you pays your money and takes your choice - but I dont wanna spend nearly 2K. 16ms refresh rate sounds 'ok', 600:1 contrast sounds 'ok'

any advice welcome

Cheers

H1PPY.

At the end of the day you get a guarantee. I have bought things from novatech in the past and have been more than pleased.

If the spec is suitable don't be put off by the supplier

The main gubbins are usually from phillips or similar, they just get put together someplace eles with a different case

I think you will find that like most of the cheaper end of the market these actually have samsung elements - this seems to be the norm. I have a 42inch panasonic and that is great, but pricey. My neighbour has one of the cheaper plasmas from richer sounds (1k) and it looks good, the only think i could see that let it down was the inbuilt speakers on the richer sounds unit, but most people will ignore this anyway and plug straight into a cinema kit..
Go for it anyway, novatech are very good, especially their own brand things, i bought an own brand 20GB mp3 player and was well chuffed with it and at the time (1yr ago) it was 1/2 the price of the ipod and it still works.
Have fun
