My Xbox live is due for renewal, but its £40 on its own.

If I buy one of those Forza packs for £50 with the included subscription can I use that to extend my current one or will it only sign up for a new one. Any one know for sure?

Are you currently using a trial sub, or a "real" sub? If it's a real sub then I'm fairly sure you can't use the included sub to renew your sub. If it's a trial sub then if this is the first renewal then I think it will work. I know there is a limit of two 'trial' renewals before it'll tell you to get some cash and pay up

You know you want Forza anyway so get the game, try the sub, if no work, *cough* sell the trial on to someone else *cough* (Seems the NDA-itis has morphed into cheekybastid-itis )

Thanks for that Markus, I was going to get Forza anyway but I thought this would have been a nice way for me to sort out the membership on the cheap too. Oh well nevermind.

If you buy a game which includes a 12 months subscription you can enter the code and extend your existing account by 12 months. I purchased a live pack with headset for £30, entered the code and my subscription extended for 12 months although I still had 4 months to run. Rang Microsoft and they refunded me £20 for the 4 months lost
