Question DVD/RW drive?

My computer has, at present, a CD/RW drive, and a DVD ROM drive.

Can I just remove the CD/RW drive and put in a DVD/RW drive?

It's running Windows XP.

Thanks for any info.

Simply put yes. But you may need to get your burning software updated from the manufacturers website before you can burn discs again.
