i know it's trivial but i need to get one of these now and i've been looking on the apple store and they got a choice of two but neither have got good reviews. im running 10.4.1 and it seems the two they sell don't work very well on this o/s can anyone recommend anything that they know works on this o/s.

forget any of the kits, get yourself a cd stomper for the labels (or better still get a printer that can print direct onto media), then all you need are the cd templates, front back and inner in whatever page layout program you use.
The main problem is the commercial ones tend be stuck in old mac os

do you mean a printer that will print straight to the disc? sounds expensive and at the mo i haven't got any sort of program that will do it i think unless microsoft office will do it?

Discus is very well regarded despite its somewhat non-standard interface and it includes templates for many different label manufacturers and CD printing inkjets too.
