Grandmother want a...
...laptop
Apparently she has people she wants to email and the like. Bloody hell, what is the world coming to when your (84 year old - ****, I hope she doesn't read Scoobynet ) grandmother is surfing the web and sending emails?!
Can anyone suggest a place where I could get one that'll do what she wants (email and at a push surfing) for around £300? I think frankly, any more than that would be a waste.
Cheers!

An entry level dell can be had for £346 inc vat, installed and ready to go with an onsite warranty. It has a CD writer, modem, network card, a 2200 celeron IIRC and a suite of software.
That was a special they were doing so not ure if its still on.
Ebuyer also do transmeta crusoe based laptops for about £250.
