Do a search in google. I just tried and there were quite a few pages with people having the same problem.
http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/live/start...nd/wanadoo.htm - shows how to set up xbox live on wanadoo.

Thanks for the help guys - but I'm still struggling (I'm blonde and proud!)
OK - Xbox - big black thing with a green X on it under the telly. I plug everything in like it says in the manuals and then do the 'Connect' thing. It goes through 3 stages (as far as I can see). It gets through the first 2 bits OK but then on the 3rd bit I keep getting DNS errors. The toruble shoot info it gives me is to set the configuration to automatic - which I've done, but still keep getting the errors.
All the webpage help sections are pretty Greek to me - can no one explain it in words of one syllable.....? (I've spent a lot of time over the last year translating techie manuals into English - but I needed the help of friendly, English speaking techies!)
My Broadband supplier is AOL - will that make any difference.....?
Will name my first born child after whoever can fix this for me!

Looks like the X-Box is using DHCP. Is your router (which is acting as DHCP server) set up with the correct DNS addresses? It may be the PC works because it knows them but the router doesn't, so can't pass them to the X-Box when it gives it an IP address.

aol.com name server dns-07.ns.aol.com
