Question DC++ Users

Has anyone else experienced slower and 'odd' download speeds. Ever since the new build 0.673?

Nope; although I use RevConnect. Their new build (to coincide with the newer DC) kept crashing. Seems to have settled down recently though.

Wow, I like the sound of Revconnect. Going to try that now. Is there a good forum that you people use to keep up to date with what is happening in the P2P world?

@luminous

you need to be aware alot of hubs don't allow revconnect and yo may be kicked and banned for using it, but yes alot better than DC++ in that multiple connections can be made.

Not sure of forums, i don't frequent any DC++ forums, i just go to hubs with a shed load of users. it also helps if you have a hefty share i.e >250gig as you tend to get onto some of the better hubs.

cheers

What do you mean by multiple connections? I assume you dont mean multiple downloads, which can be done on DC++ anyway.

like kazza? On my 576k broadband I can get a healthy 54k download rate from a single connection on DC++. Just that recently alot more connections seem to be slower. Can still get the 54k but not as readily.

700mb film takes around 3.5hrs.

Am trying it out now. Certainly easier than std DC++ as you have to keep an eye on it.
