WAG54G problems...
Hi all, I've been using my wireless router to connect to the internet for about 8 months without a single problem. The router is wired to a PC, and we also have a laptop which we connect to the internet remotely.
The host PC (ie the PC wired directly to the router) will not access the internet. The laptop will still connect to the internet/PC with no problems - so the problem isn't with the router...
Anyone got any ideas (I'm a bit useless with technical stuff).

Check patch cable between computer and router by disconnecting then reconnecting.
Then power off everything. Power on router first, wait 40 seconds then power on computer.

Do you power the router down at times?
I have the same router and mine does this from time to time.A quick reboot of the router normally solves it for me but I suspect you might have tried this already...
Couple of other questions, does your computer successfully lease an ip address from the router? To check (Assuming you are running Win 2000 or XP) click on Start button, then run and type cmd followed by enter. Then type ipconfig /all followed by enter.Does your card show a leased ip address? (192.168.1.x range normally)

Thanks guys - the problem seems to have been a combination...
I powered the box down, and then had a route around (no pun intended )
Turns out the IP address was not on 'automatically assign'.
Problem now sorted - many thanks people.
