I have a floppy disk that when i try to read it comes back saying unformatted. Does anyone have any software that could read and recover the files, i only need it for one bloody file!!

Surely someone must have some freeware to do the job.

Any help vastly apptreciated.

All I can suggest is you try it in another PC. I have had problems like this in the past and sometimes it does work.

Run a diskdoctor tool on it, like norton systemworks or alike if u have it.

A simple scandisk with file check and fix will suffice, if there are lost chains/blocks u can restore the files sometimes. Warning thou if u commit to this the file structure will be changed and it may not work, rendering your file lost.
