Cant open Hotmail or post mes. on any boards.
What could be going on ?
It would appear to let me post anywhere else but not in MSN based sites.
I cannot open mail, contacts.....ect
Any help would be great.

Not sure coz you haven't said, but if you connect via LAN go to your internet Options>Connections>LAN> tick Automatically detect settings, tick bypass proxy server for local addresses and take out the proxy server address if there is one in there.


I had the same problem when I assigned a particular proxy address

It is networked and may or may not tie in with the install and the subsequent uninstall of an anti virus package. (Panda Ti) (it would also appear to have totaly fooked up a laptop too !!!)

 

Have you tried with any firewall disabled?

 

(it is a friends pc) I am informed that when Panda was installed all other firewalls ect were uninstalled so at present there is no form of protection or anything that may hault proceedings.

I can (but it will not start) and indeed the msn messenger installed on the system works fine but I cant open any msn links at all.

 

And... this page is from their own site... although you can connect to certain webpages it still might have some bearing.
