Angry HELP !!! Stupid email !!

Hi Everybody.
Please help me.
I've this error message when i try to send n receive emails.
Ive deleted my old accounts and made new ones but that still doesnt work.
Ive rung Freeserve and they where ****e !!!
Its time for Sccobynet to the rescue hopefully !!

Here is the error message.

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.wanadoo.co.uk', Server: 'pop.wanadoo.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

0x800CCC0E Error states that the port 110 is blocked

Have you got a firewall installed?

Maybe this is the cause, disable the firewall then try to send and receive.

If this works then check the firewall setup

try going to a command prompt and typing the following:

netstat -an

and you should get a reply similar to this:

Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP 0.0.0.0:25 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 0.0.0.0:110 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING

I've tried that but it still doesnt work !!

Thing is my dad also uses the computer but on a different account and his works !!!!

I seriously havent a clue.
I dont want to loose all my emails !!!

AAARRRRGGGGHHHH

Looking at the orginal post it would appear that the account is wrong (the account is not going to be the same as the server)....look at your orginal information and put the correct account in.
