bloody Microsoft
installed the updates released today on my laptop and all I get after a reboot is a blue screen of death with different sys files listed each time
Can't roll back as have system restore switched off
Can get in via safe mode but bugger all use that is as have no idea what to uninstall.
Anyone else had any issues?

MS released 7 critical patches today!!! I have managed to install all 7 fine on 700 pc's
Uninstalling them can be a pain as they don't always marry up with the exe name you installed!
Check this link it should hopefully help you to work out which one is which!

Thanks folks, yep did my test machine at work today and it was fine, yet laptop is totally messed up. The main dll to report in bsod is usbhub.sys. Tried replacing it with one off another machine but its made no difference. If I use last known good config it comes up with fips.dll blue screeening.
Yet safe mode works fine. Oh well looks like a rebuild, at least safe mode with networking worked so have backed up all data off it. Never trust MS updates again thats for sure
Also machine at work never required a reboot after the update, laptop did, both had all the latest updates to date and both running XP SP2, strange.

Maybe but what gets me is their updates caused the error and bluescreen, then they bring out a fix for it. A bit too late for those who have already downloaded their updates prior to them finding the bluescreen issue. Anyway rebuilt now, just know now that in future leave it a few days before installing incase they **** up again!
