XP updates on Windows update today - anyone else blue screened?

Haven't been notified there are updates to install... did you get notification or did you go to the site and have it scan your pc?

MS released 7 critical patches today!!! I have managed to install all 7 fine on 700 pc's
Uninstalling them can be a pain as they don't always marry up with the exe name you installed!

Check this link it should hopefully help you to work out which one is which!

That's odd, I'm right at the top of the alphabet so normally get notified early

I'm not going to go hunting for them if there are problems though

No problems for me, installed on three desktops and two laptops and I was notified for each. Maybe you suffered file corruption during the install, as a thought.

I had the latest updates before these ones and totally messed up my PC my burner just kept on freezing the whole system once re-installed windows and did NOT install service pack 2 all fine again !!

Didnt microsoft force all computers with auto updates turned on who hadnt already installed SP2 download and install it automatically yesterday.

You'll probably find you've got a buggy usb hub driver, I'd check that first before rebuilding. Check the BIOS revision etc as well.

that was probably from the new site then. they do seem to have lots more of the latest drivers for hardware
