Default Windows Media Player help

I am running media player 10 and want to burn an mp3 cd from the tracks held in my library. however it will only burn as wav. I have tried moving the tracks into nero (6) but cannot get them to move across.

help needed please as i don't want to have to dig the cd's out to load all the tracks again.

You've got it. I am probably being a right numpty but I have tried all I can but can't seem to get it.

If I try to burn my playlist in media player it starts to convert then says 'will not fit' after about 15 tracks.

If I try to drag the files into Nero it says 'file type not recognised'

I wouldn't mind but its not as if its the first time, I'm probably having one of those moments and its going to be something stupid.

Sound like you know what you are doing but I can only point out the obvious. May help one way or the other....
Open Windows Media Player-left click tools-left click options-left click copy music. Take a look at Copy Settings. What formats do you have listed? What audio quality settings?
Start there.

I've tried that but there is not a 'copy music' tab, only 'rip music', which is the format it saves cd's in when you load them.

I've had another go this morning, still can't do it. I can see me getting really pi$$ed off with this.

Try Tools|Options|Rip CD and change the default file format from Windows Media Audio to mp3.

For the wma tracks you've ripped have a look here
