NTL upgrades
I see NTL are apparently upgrading there speeds to all customers, but they are placing download limits on every body.
Does anyone know if this will be an automatic upgrade or do ya have to call em up??

I upgraded mine by going to the ntl broadband homepage, entering my details, and clicking the upgrade button. The speed was increased within 5 minutes or so...

If you are on 750k or 1.5mb you will be upgraded automatically, but you can prompt it, download cap is the same, 1gb per day.
It's a soft cap like before though, time will tell how many days you have to go over it before they contact you.
(750k > 2mb, 1.5mb > 3mb)
If you are on 300k, your current cap (1gb per day) will become 3gb per month, if you decide to go to 1mb. This is your decision, it will not happen without you contacting them.

If you get your boadband through a STB and it's a Pace model, you'll need to have it swapped out for the newer Samsung ones.
When you've had the STB swapped, you ring up again and they up the line speed.
All done for me within a couple of days of the offer starting.
